The collaboration between Focus Marketing and the Camera di Commercio di Trento has been renewed. Focus Marketing carried out the third wave of the survey on consumer confidence in the province of Trento.

The six-monthly survey is aimed at detecting the sentiment of Trentino consumers, a methodology that allows for a temporal comparison of the various indicators useful for detecting changes in the behavior and consumption choices of the Trentino people.

The third survey on the climate of consumer confidence in Trentino was carried out in October and November 2021 (from 15 to 5 November 2021), the interviews were carried out by Focus Marketing using the mixed methodology CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) and CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing). Were interviewed n. 700 citizens of the province of Trento stratified by gender, age class and municipality of residence.

In October, the consumer confidence climate index settled at +0.1 points, up from the previous survey conducted in April (-10.4 points).

The positive evolution is mainly attributable to the improvement in expectations on the local economic situation in the next twelve months and to the increase in expenditure forecasts for durable goods, such as household appliances and furniture.
The assessments regarding the provincial economic situation, referring to the last twelve months, are clearly more positive than those recorded in April. The percentage of those who find an improvement (slight or net) reaches, in fact, 21.8% (from 2.1% in the previous survey), while negative opinions contracted from 72.1% to the current 31.8%. The judgments of stationarity also increased, reaching 45.3%.
